What the company will never ask you for

Fraudsters introduce themselves in the name of financial institutions. They are easy to tell apart once you know what is never asked.

A credit organisation does not need the secret details of your card. To review an application, a name, a phone number and what is stated in the form are enough. Anything beyond that is a reason to doubt.

Never asked

  • The three-digit code on the back of the card (CVV/CVC)
  • A confirmation code from an SMS
  • The password to a banking app or email account
  • An advance payment to “approve” or “speed up” a loan

How to be sure you are talking to us

End the call and dial the number published on this site yourself. A fraudster's number can look like ours, but calling back always settles it. The same goes for links: type the address by hand rather than following one from a message.

Loan terms are always set out in the contract and on this site. If what you hear on the phone does not match what is published, do not sign — call us.
